 – Thuringia's Minister for Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Areas, Ms Colette Boos-John, visited TITV Greiz to find out about the latest developments in textile research. She was welcomed by Dr Fabian Schreiber, the institute's managing director.

On 17 September, the Textile Research Institute Thüringen-Vogtland e. V. (TITV Greiz) opened its doors to industry professionals and interested guests. In addition to the annual ‘Innovation Day’, which is organised specifically for customers and research partners, this year also saw the return of the ‘Open Day’, to which all interested parties were invited.

– The TITV Greiz has appointed Sandra Haase as the new head of its Accredited Testing Laboratory, effective immediately. Sandra Haase, who has been with the institute since 2012, previously served as deputy head and led the textile physics testing division. She succeeds Dr Ulrike Klobes, who will now assume the role of deputy head after 23 years in this position.

TITV Greiz is expanding its research and development capacities with state-of-the-art machine technology for fibre testing and yarn production. The aim is to research fibres and fibre yarns made from recycled materials and their processing. This work will enable a detailed understanding of the entire process cycle – from the creation of a textile through its use, recycling, and reintegration into the production chain.

TITV Greiz is expanding its machinery with a state-of-the-art yarn printing machine. The investment is supported by the Free State of Thuringia and the European Union as part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Commissioning is planned for mid-October.

Textiles that move the world - in the truest sense of the word. The Textile Research Institute Thuringia-Vogtland e.V. (TITV Greiz) had the opportunity to present its latest prototype in the field of smart interiors together with Automotive Thüringen e.V. at the summer party of the Thuringian State Representation in Berlin: the smart centre console.

Berlin, May 15, 2025. The Textile Research Institute Thuringia-Vogtland e. V. (TITV Greiz), applied research institute based in Greiz, Thuringia, is set to open a new branch office in Berlin on June 1, 2025. The institute will be located in the headquarters of the German textile industry association textil+mode on Wallstraße (engl. Wall Street).
