Sensory functions are a basic necessity for future smart textiles. An "intelligent" textile only deserves its name if it can detect and measure the changes in its environment in order to trigger a corresponding reaction.
Mechanical and chemical influences are often used as load variables to draw conclusions about environmental conditions. Temperature, humidity, elongation and bending are only a small example of the possible measured variables
Core areas:
- Development of sensory textiles through the adaptation of electronic modules in textile carrier materials
- Integration of sensory components in conductive textile structures
- Development of textile-based sensors
